This powerful crane is an excellent choice for demanding lifting jobs, such as installing large machinery, steel structures and other heavy components. With its impressive reach and flexibility, this crane is suitable for a wide range of lifting applications.
The Liebherr model is like the ID card of this car. It is very simple to interpret it. L stands for Liebherr, T is the first letter of the telescopic boom, and M is the first letter of the all-terrain chassis. The first digit "1" is the product code of the crane specified by Liebherr. The following three digits represent the main parameters of the crane, that is, the maximum lifting tonnage. If the tonnage does not exceed 100 tons, the first digit is 0. LTM1160 is an improved version of LTM1150, and its telescopic boom length and lifting capacity have been significantly improved.
Improved Suspension Seat / Console Assembly Ergonomic joysticks with auxiliary control buttons for attachment use. Now with new sleek styling. Heated suspension (standard) or optional air ride suspension with heat. New joystick consoles - now adjustable in height by way of dial at bottom. Adjustable arm rests - turn dial to raise or lower for optimum comfort.
The cab is made of metal, with sharp edges and no decoration, like a steel man. The windshield is large, with a wide field of vision, and the three-spoke wipers can also clean a large area. The rearview mirror is simple and practical, with low maintenance costs. The bumper is painted in a warning color, but the red and white paint blocks the logo of the car. In the later improved version, the "LIEBHERR" brand logo will be sprayed black to improve recognition.
The vehicle uses a front daytime cab, which can accommodate 3 people. Although the cab is wide, its shortness is a fatal weakness, so the space inside the car is quite limited. There are many metal parts in the cab.
The steering wheel is very wide, which makes it a little inconvenient to operate. The instrument panel is very simple. There were very few electronic instrument panels in that era, let alone LCD ones. The functions of the instrument are still sound, and the information is highly readable. There is also a mechanical meter in the middle of the speed display area. The indicator lights are arranged horizontally above the instrument, and the buttons are integrated on the right side of the center console.
The crane's control room is square in shape, with large glass around and on the top, providing a relatively wide field of vision and reducing blind spots. In Liebherr's later products, the control room of large-tonnage cranes can rise and fall with the change of the lifting height of the boom, so as to obtain a better field of vision. Through the glass, we can see that this crane is operated by a rocker handle, and there is a status indicator behind each rocker to show the working status of the boom.
